PROSPECT LEFFERTS GARDENS, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A five-alarm fire burned through a commercial building in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn.

The one-story Parkside Avenue building, which houses a bakery, went up in flames just before 11 p.m. Sunday.

The flames may have been gas fed.

The building houses a catering company with a commercial kitchen that provides school lunches.

The building is next to the More Grace Redemptive Center. Parishioners were able to save some things from inside the church.

It took 250 firefighters several hours to get the blaze under control.

The flames were so intense that at one point they had to back everyone out of the building and fight the fire from overhead.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

It was the second five-alarm fire to break out Sunday night.

Earlier, a five-alarm fire burned through a commercial dry cleaning facility in Queens.
